Clusters and other related terms as Innovation and Triple Helix is the popular term often used in different contexts. Geographic concentrations of related companies and agents are characterized by mutual dependence and impact on each other, without direct requirements for interaction with the research. A cluster is assumed that there are geographic concentrations of related firms and other actors who both compete and cooperate. Some advantages of geographical concentration is such availability of specialized labor, specialized inputs, technology, information and experience-based knowledge. The core of the majority cluster consists of a commercial enterprise networks, which collaborate on specific activities such as purchasing synergy, regional brands or joint product development. A cluster can grow organically, without explicit support from the public sector. Source: www.tillvaxtverket.se |

Daniel Solander was born in 1733 in Öjebyn, former Piteå old city. At the age of seventeen he came to Uppsala and was one of Linnaeus's foremost disciples. 1753 he made a botanical trip to Pite Sami land, which he repeated in 1755 in Torne Lapland. He was sent to England in 1759 by Linnaeus, but delayed by illness, he arrived until the 1760th Linnaeus suggested that he appointed a professor in St. Petersburg, but he declined. 1763 he received the service as an assistant librarian at the British Museum. Through his acquaintance with Joseph Banks, he came to participate in the James Cook round the world by ship HMB Endeavour which was first mapped and explored New Zealand and Australia, which at that time was still relatively unknown. The bay Botany Bay just outside Sydney got its name because of the botanical finds that Solander did there at the landing 1770. Source: www.danielsolander.se |

In an incubator, you can develop your creativity and realize your ideas. We do not have our own incubator, but of course we can arrange this service with professional advice, service and access to valuable network when needed. An incubator provides a supportive environment to grow strong in. In order to become an incubator company with us at Solander Science Park should your ideas be about renewable energy. Your idea must have growth potential, to be unique in its kind, and have the capacity to operate on a national / international market. Our experience tells us that it is the person or team that is critical to any success. Therefore, we focus extra the entrepreneur when an idea is adopted in the incubator. We are here for those who study at university / college, working in companies or alone in your idea. Let us get in touch today! |
Regional clusters program sees networking as collaborations between actors who have a common interest to cooperate. Networking is not necessarily either geographic or represent a specific clusters or innovation systems. One way to clarify the differences between different types of networks is to distinguish between commercial and organized networks. Business Driven Network aims to co-operate through activities that generate economic profit by increasing revenue and / or reduce costs. A commercial network is not a cluster or innovation because it is too limited. A commercial network is, by contrast, often an important (internal) part of both clusters as innovation. Within organized networks is the aim rather developing other forms of common interests that do not directly affect the financial results, but which can help to create better conditions for economic activities. Renewable energy is of course energy that is "renewed", ie, circulates and is converted in our ecological systems, such as hydropower, solar, wind, biomass, wave and geothermal energy. The sun itself is not really renewable, as it will one day die out, but this is so far in the future that it is hardly relevant to humans. Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) are not renewable. These surely renewes, but it takes a very long time, many millions of years. In addition, they are consumed today in a higher rate than they are renewed. Renewable energy is a prerequisite for what is called sustainable development. Renewable energy is also often seen as advantageous from an environmental perspective, not least because they do not increase the greenhouse effect. Source: www.energikunskap.se |
Nature is amazing, plants use solar energy to build up carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates, plants take up nutrients to build proteins, enzymes, vitamins, fiber, strong structures, large trees and beautiful flowers. Plants give life and give birth to nature all animals. When they die, the energy plants and animals contain be utilized before the components back into nature. It may sound pompous, but it is natural, so hard and so simple. "Bio" means life, bio-energy is life energy. Some believe that bioenergy is not an equally eco-friendly energy such as solar and wind. It is wrong. Bioenergy is as much renewable energy such as solar, wind and water. Bioenergy can be viewed as stored solar energy. The plants convert a portion of the solar energy into chemical compounds that can be used at a later date. However, people sometimes abuse the environment the same way that some people violate laws and commit crimes. It is important that we have regulations or laws, so that we can be secure in the bio-energy production occurs in a sustainable manner. Source: www.svebio.se |

Innovation comes from the Latin innovations, which means renewal. An innovation is a new idea, for example, a product, solution, business, service, chemical formula, mathematical methodology or technology that has shown great promise or act but never thought out earlier by someone else. An innovation is the result of an innovation process. An innovation may be to use an existing object in a new way, or to start making an old product in new ways, for example, of a different material than before. To be able to patent an idea, the idea must be innovative. The difference between an invention and an innovation is that innovation has gained wide acceptance in the market. Source: Wikipedia. |
In the international arena of research, the concept of the biorefinery has been developed into a vision of processing scarce resources in a resource-efficient and environmentally-friendly way while striving for sustainable development. There is potential to increase the value added output from renewable raw materials used by today's processing industry.
Among other things it means…
In today's Swedish forestry industry, the range consists mainly of paper/cardboard, pulp and sawn timber. By-products of the processes are primarily used as fuel. The analogy with an oil refinery is often made, when describing the thoughts around a future biorefinery. The first oil refineries in the middle of the 19th century mainly produced kerosene. Today more than 2000 different products are refined from crude oil. A biorefinery is therefore analogous with an all encompassing and complex process industry, designed to extract the maximum possible refining values from the raw material used. In addition to cellulose fibres there are opportunities to develop new products from the forestry raw material's. Other constituents are lignin, hemi-cellulose, bark and extractives. A science park offers a stimulating and enabling environment for developing businesses in growth. The park can be described as a meeting place between people and ideas, but also between knowledge and creativity. A science park, in Swedish is sometimes referred to as technology and research park, has a close connection to a nearby university or college. Here young development companies, often based on research or university technology, can get a opportunity to grow strong. Companies in the park may be in addition to a creative and stimulating environment, also have access to a shared reception, meeting rooms and other service facilities such as projectors, printers, fax etc. Source: sisp.se |
Black liquor is a residual product resulting from the production of paper pulp. It can, with the help of new evaporation techniques, be used to produce electricity and automotive fuel. During the production of paper pulp about half the wood raw material is converted into paper. The other half is transformed into black liquor, process chemicals and residue.
