One thing that was a success at the Cop 15 in Copenhagen was the fair Bright Green Expo (12-13 Dec) and Robert Bergman at Solander Science Park was a little part of that. Almost 200 companies and organisations exhibited new technologies they are already making available in the marketplace, from new types of electric cars to wind turbines and water filtration systems. Solander-related companies that where represented there was Volvo, Haldor Topsoe, Chemrec and Total.
The whole Copenhagen was interesting for those who are seeking a clean-energy, low-carbon future. This city was essentially the epicentre of the clean-energy world right now, and every company, nongovernmental organization, and government in the climate and energy game is represented here.
U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu was one of the speakers and the cooperation between US and Sweden will go on under the headline “Next Big Thing”. Mr. Chu liked what he saw at the fair and added"Rather than competing and trying to bargain to the last advantage let's approach this all with a feeling of will and compassion and endurance for the long road ahead."
